Entrecepas is a family company for whom the love of the art of winemaking and its tradition has remained strong over three generations. The driving force behind the enterprise was Serafim Prudêncio, a man of vision and ambition who emigrated to Argentina with the mission of learning everything about his great passion: the art of winemaking and the quest to earn money that he could invest in Portugal. After 20 years as an emigrant in Argentina, he returned to his homeland, A Dos Francos, in west Portugal. Here he invested in vineyards and built his Cellar where he produces wine with a passion. He created his own brand and sold his wine in the Lisbon region. His children, our fathers, continue to produce the wines there, but now sell them in wholesale quantities. Owing to its characteristic acidity, most of the production is sold in bulk. In 2001, his grandchildren founded Entrecepas with the aim of commercialising high-quality Portuguese wines, for export. Hence, the goal is to continue the work inherited from the family ancestors. The family DNA and a shared passion contribute to the present and the future of the next generations.
